Ken Murphy Memorial Open Golf Tournament
The Gaylord Hospital Sports Association invites you to the Ken Murphy Memorial Open, the only golf tournament in CT
specifically for individuals with a physical disability or visual impairment. Join us for this nine-hole tournament at the Farms Country Club. Eligible golfers include individuals who can golf independently for nine-holes at a reasonable rate of play. Prizes will be awarded during the luncheon for the top three twosomes, closest to the pin and longest drive. The Farms Country Club requires golfers to wear collared shirts; jeans are not allowed.
This tournament utilizes a 2-person scramble format. To be eligible for awards, players will be paired with another golfer who has a physical disability or visual impairment.
Each player hits a tee shot on each hole, and then each golfer plays from the spot of the best shot until you hole out. Golfers may park as close to the green as needed, but
may not park on the apron. Single rider adaptive golf carts are allowed on the
green. If the ball is on the green, but the golfer cannot get to it, add two strokes to
hole out. We ask golfers to maintain a reasonable rate of play.
