Adaptive Seated Boxing
Adaptive Boxing
Join us for another round of Virtual Adaptive Boxing on Thursdays October 6-Dec. 11 from 6:00-7:00PM. This is not your ordinary boxing workout – this is a fun and fast paced cardio workout for all abilities. Everyone will participate at their own pace, seated or standing and no equipment is necessary. The class will challenge you both mentally and physically as you learn different boxing moves and sequences. Each class is 45 minutes and includes a warm-up, stretching, boxing and cardiovascular exercises. Benefits of participation include cardiovascular development, hand-eye coordination, memory, strengthening and conditioning, mobility, confidence and stress-relief. Exercise For Life (EX4L)
EXCEL in functional fitness through strength, endurance, power and flexibility. Exercise for Life (EX4L) is a strength and conditioning program for individuals ages 16 and up with a physical disability. The class provides an opportunity to work on building strength, endurance and flexibility in a group setting. The class is run by an exercise specialist under the supervision of a physical therapist and is located at Gaylord Physical Therapy in Cheshire. This is an excellent opportunity for participants to learn or build upon fitness skills and become more comfortable working out in a gym setting. Modifications will be made for each individual to promote independence and success. Participants may register for one class series at a time. There is no fee to attend this class. Archery Clinic
Archery clinics are designed for individuals to learn about and participate in the sport of archery. Participants will receive instruction from a Level IV Certified USA Archery Coach as well as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist to give the best possible instruction and support independence. We welcome first-timers, beginners and advanced archers. Instruction will be tailored based on your ability. Standard and adaptive equipment are provided. Pre-registration is required. Golf Clinic
Golf Clinic
The adaptive golf clinic provides an opportunity to try the sport or to return to playing golf. Instruction is provided by a trained PGA professional, Certified Recreation Therapists and volunteers who will help you to maximize your independence and improve your skills. The clinic is set-up in several stations including a driving station and putting station. Beginners and returning golfers are welcome and all equipment is provided, including adaptive golf cart if needed. Pre-registration is required. Try Wheelchair Fencing with Paralympian Victoria Isaacson! 🗡
Join us for a Wheelchair Fencing Clinic on Friday, December 12, 2025, from 3:00–4:30 PM at Rogue Fencing Academy in Woodbridge, CT.
Led by Paralympian Victoria Isaacson and top Connecticut coaches Sandra Marchant and Eric Soyka, this hands-on clinic will introduce you to the exciting world of wheelchair fencing. Learn the basics, get fitted for equipment, and try bouting in specialized fencing chairs — no experience needed!
This clinic is open to individuals age 16+ with a physical disability or visual impairment.

Boccia Open Play
Come try the Paralympic Sport of Boccia! Boccia is a throwing sport of precision which has been adapted for athletes with mild to severe physical disabilities using a few modifications. The object is to place balls closest to the target ball by throwing or rolling the ball using a ramp. Games are played one on one, in pairs, and teams of three. All are welcome to learn this game of skill and strategy! There will be 1 session from 2:00PM -3:30PM. Preregistration is required. Ski and Snowboard Trip
The Gaylord Sports Association Ski & Snowboard program provides adaptive athletes the opportunity to learn
and practice skiing and snowboarding with adaptive ski and snowboard coaches during scheduled outings throughout the winter. This program is a great opportunity to try the sport, return to the sport after an injury or to develop your skills. We hope to see you on the slopes this winter!
Ski & Snowboard Program Includes:
• Six outings will be held during the winter
season
• All outings are located at Ski Sundown in
New Hartford, CT
• Outings are offered on Thursdays and
Saturdays
• Each lesson includes:
o 2.5 hour individualized lesson
o Adaptive or standard equipment rental
o Lift ticket
• Transportation from Gaylord (optional)
• The cost for each lesson is $60
• This program is offered in partnership with Summit Adaptive Sports who provides the lessons, equipment and specially trained instructors.
